graphic health warnings on tobacco packaging
o Launching effective anti-tobacco mass media campaigns
that educate the public about the harms of tobacco use and second-hand smoke
exposure
o Enforcement of comprehensive bans on tobacco
advertising, promotion, and sponsorship
o Increased taxes on tobacco products to make them less
affordable.
2.
Government Organizations
By
the help of two governments organizations, FUNDED UK GOUVERNEMENT, and
AUSTRALIAN GOUVERNEMENT Department Of Health, with help WHO, constructing an
undertaking named " FCTC 2030" The FCTC 2030 venture is reinforcing
tobacco control in low-and center pay nations through elevating and supporting
governments to quicken the execution of the WHO FCTC.
This
immediate help is centered around the accomplishment of the general commitments
and the time bound proportions of the Convention, fortifying tobacco tax collection,
executing different articles of the WHO FCTC as per national needs and
advancing the usage of the Convention as a feature of the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development.
Agreement
with the following countries to work on the long-term anti-smoking project:
Cabo
Verde , Madagascar , Cambodia, Myanmar , Chad, Nepal , Colombia, Samoa , Egypt,
Sierra Leone , El Salvador, Georgia, Zambia, Jordan
Conclusion:
not as was
in the past, Smoking is no longer free or a personal decision. This
is a difficult time for smokers, as people have become increasingly aware of
smoking, whether direct smoke or indirect smoke, has proved to be a threat to
small and large in all aspects of life in all countries. The voices of protest
against smoke and smokers in public places, in the workplace, in restaurants,
in places of residence or elsewhere, limit the personal freedom of the smoker,
since the harmful effect of smoke on others is no doubt at all.
Recommendations
- Set a stop date and stick to it.
- After stopping, absolutely avoid taking a cigarette, even a single puff: the risk of relapse is too important.
- Get rid of all cigarettes, lighters and ashtrays.
- Write the list of the inconveniences of tobacco and the benefits of the judgment.
- Use nicotine substitutes, Zyban or Champix. These products reduce the symptoms of withdrawal; irritability, nervousness, anxiety, depression, problems of concentration, sleep disorders, increased appetite, weight gain, irresistible urge to smoke. and doubles your chances of success.
- Ask others not to smoke in your presence. The first few weeks, avoid places where you smoke. However, if you can’t or do not want to avoid these places, then decline politely but firmly any offer of cigarette. Be proud to stop smoking!
- Warn those around you that you have quit smoking. Get support
- Change your routine to avoid places and situations where you used to smoke: leave the table as soon as the meal is over.
- Use diversion activities to deal with the urgent need for smoking; walking around, drinking water, chewing gum, washing your hands. The desire to smoke increases gradually, reaches a regress spontaneously. The strong desire to smoke does not last more than 5 minutes. The more time passes, the more these cravings diminish in number and intensity, until complete disappearance.
